Last week Mary met mace.

Brittney had some on her key ring and Mary just wanted to "test it"

so she sprayed it in my closet...

ignoring the fact that we both almost died from being in a closed room with that stuff....

Do you know what color it turned my clothes? RED!

Answers to frequently asked questions

Above is a picture of one of the worms that Brittney coughed up. It took a long time for everything to get sorted out but we now have some answers

Q. Is Britney going to be ok?
A. Yes Brittney is going to be ok.

Q. What the heck is it?
A. parasitic ascariasis- worms

(Brittney "They reproduce up to 200,000 + eggs a day!!!")

Q. How did she get them
A. They aren't found in the U.S. and Brittney hasn't left the country so they are pretty sure she ingested them in some produce.

(Brittney said she likes to eat salad so beware)

Q. Are they gone
A. No.

(Brittney "They are still in my lungs, but I can't feel them")

Q. How are they treating them?
A. They gave her medicine to immobilize them so they cant feed or reproduce. The worms will eventually die off and be absorbed by tissues other fragments will just remain.

Brittney has a follow up on April 7th with the infectious diseases Dr. He will check on the status and also her liver function. Please be praying that she will be completely healed by this time and that the worms will not have harmed her liver.

Thanks for all your prayers.

Sick...again.

as i sit in my chair attempting to breathe through my wheezy, smoker's cough, counting down the minutes until i can take more drugs and fall asleep again i try to remember the last time i wasn't sick...you know, when you breathe normally, no spontaneous vomiting...back when you could walk through your house without multiple room mates spraying you with Lysol...ahh, those were the days. it has straight up been one illness after another in our house this winter...from the moment the temperature dropped below 85, someone has been sick...whether it be the stomach bug, strep, the flu, a cold, worms (yes...worms, and no, i'm not talking about boosie), bronchitis or (this just in)...pneumonia. we will be well soon enough...but for now, it's another day of Kleenex (with vicks...mmmmmmm), soup, big fluffy blankets, pill bottles and chick flicks...sha bam.

We Need A Man!!!

ok, so, our ghetto rigged washing machine decided mid wash that it was never going to complete a spin cycle again, so Brittnay removed her soaking wet jeans and we got on craigs list to find a new washer...hopefully one with more than one temperature setting and one that doesn't require proping the lid open with nails and pens...just a good old fashion washer that works. well, we quickly found a listing and went right over to buy the washer from the guy. there was only one thing left to do before we could actually wash our clothes and stop wearing our underware inside out...out with the old, in with the new. words can't describe this experience, but ultimately we concluded that we are failures at home maintenance. two hours later...we had a new washer! here are some pictures (i can't get the video to work...) to give you a small glimpse of the madness. (we didn't get the hot water spraying all over the floor the wall and all of us, nor did we get the shop vac explosion or the old faithful reinactment on video...sorry, but this should give you some idea of the insanity)

What a good sport...the maintenance Man just happened to be fixing the fence next door so we recruited Him for help...

Brittney's ashy elbows and Mary trying to figure out which way is right and which way is left...

You want me to do what???

don't worry guys...i got it...

Do you even read this?

You would think that with so many girls in this house that this blog would get updated more often. There are big changes happening in the house of a jillion girls.

1. We have taken on a new name, somewhere along the way the house of a jillions girls became know as the spot...just fyi
2. As most of you know Christina and Libby have moved out. Christina is moving to Fort Worth to live with her Dad and pursue a teaching job. Libby really felt like the Lord was calling her back to College Station to continue her ministry there.
3. We couldn't imagine living with a normal amount of people so there will be two new girls joining us next semester. Heather and Chace will be here very soon. Heather already knows and loves us. She has spent much time at the spot and knows exactly what shes getting into. Chace is a new friend and we are very excited to get to know her.

We were challenged in so many ways last semester. Each roommate has grown individually and as a whole. We are ery excited to see what the Lord has instore for us next semester.

Here are some fun pictures of this semester.
